About

Site History – The site was created by Damon Peterson (MPDamon) in August of 2006 as a blog using the Invision boards blog extension.  It served as a quick and easy way to pass inside info received by EA along to fans of the games.  Shortly after the domain name MaddenandMore.com was created and became the name of the blog.  Wanting to broaden the scope of games covered the domain TheSportsGameGuy.com was created in Febuary of 2008.   In 2009 a move was made to Wordpress.  Today TheSportsGameGuy brings daily updated sports gaming info along with inside info including community day reports and direct answers from EA and Microsoft.  We hope that you’ll take the time to join our great community.

He has been active in the online community for many years and currently works on TheSportsGameGuy bringing up to date sports gaming news and thoughts to the community. Along with being involved with the active EA community Damon has also been awarded an Xbox MVP award the last three years and you can find him with the Gamertag MPDamon. 2K Sports announced via Twitter that the 360 version of MLB 2K 10 has been submitted to Microsoft so as long as things go well it should be out in about 10 days or possibly sooner.  No details of what the patch addresses are available yet but I will assume that Online play is addressed [...]

Today 2K Sports confirmed that there will be no NHL 2K11 for the 360 and PS3 but they may return for 2K12. The series is not completely dead however as the Nintendo Wii will be will be receiving NHL 2K11.

Tecmo confirmed the game and released some details along with the first screenshots. The game will release sometime this spring though a specific date has yet to be confirmed.
