Read who EA SPORTS picked for our NBA JAM Week 5 Player Picks and vote for the players you think should be in the game. This week the teams to vote for is The Pistons, 76ers, and Bulls.
Detroit Pistons
Yaw’s Choice: Richard Hamilton/Ben Gordon/Charlie Villanueva
First pick goes to Richard Hamilton. I love a guy that can hustle, shoot and his a headache to guard because he’s all over the court. Pick two goes to Ben Gordon. The guy is a great athlete that can fill it up on the court and this is another guy that screams NBA JAM. My third pick, which for me was tough because there were a few choices for the third spot, went to Charlie Villanueva. This guy can do a lot on the court but I wish he was more consistent. He has a solid skill set that only needs to come together in a more consistent basis. I thought about Ben Wallace due to his defensive prowess but the man has no offense so he was left out.
Jeremy’s Choice: Richard Hamilton/Ben Gordon/Charlie Villanueva
I’m getting tired of you Yaw. Always picking the same guys I was gonna pick. I gotta say though, you didn’t even consider Stuckey? Nevertheless, I still agree with you, but Gordon and Villanueva have been injury-prone and lackluster. They still fit the bill the best though.
Philadelphia 76ers
Yaw’s Choice: Andre Iguodala, Elton Brand, Allen Iverson
Andre Iguodala heads the list for the Sixers. A good young player with incredible athleticism and I know I would have a lot of fun dunking with him on JAM. Next up is Elton Brand. Although he has disappointed in Philly he’s still a very good player and when he’s not hurt he can bring the pain. My final pick, which comes with some controversy, is Allen Iverson. When I think of the Sixers in my time I think of Allen Iverson. This man bleeds Philly and he deserves to be on this team. Although he is no longer the Iverson of old I will put him on my team any day. Normally Lou Williams would fill this spot but I have to pay homage to the original AI.
Jeremy’s Choice: Andre Iguodala, Elton Brand, Allen Iverson
Sigh… why do you keep doing this to me? I’m going first next week. Lou Williams definitely deserves a spot, but I’ve gotta go for AI as well. This may well be his swan song and I want to see him in JAM too.
Chicago Bulls
Yaw’s Choice: Derrick Rose, Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich
The party begins with Derrick Rose. This guy is the definition of NBA JAM. He’s lightning fast, an amazing ball handler and his finishing ability is spectacular. Easily one of the most exciting players in the game today. Next up is Luol Deng. People have talked about him being the next big superstar and he has the intangibles to be that player. Incredibly athletic and fun to watch. Lastly is Kirk Hinrich. This guy can do everything on the court and can light it up from outside. Can’t go wrong with this lineup right here.
Jeremy’s Choice: Derrick Rose, Luol Deng, Joachim Noah
Finally you slipped up! How could you NOT put Joachim Noah in this year? He’s a double-double machine this year! A top 3 rebounder! He’s also blocking all types of shots. The perfect 3rd option on my Jam squad. Get that Kirk Hinrich stuff out of here! And btw, who said Deng is the next big superstar? His momma? I didn’t get that memo I guess.
