Bo Jackson up the middle. Barry Sanders running laps around the field (and circles around defenders). Christian Okoye smashing through any player who gets in his way.
When I think back to the classic days of “Tecmo Bowl” and “Tecmo Super Bowl,” those are the images that flash instantly to mind.
And those days are about to return big time as Tecmo is set to release “Tecmo Bowl Throwback,” a new downloadable version of their classic series on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network this spring. And when I say those old days are about to return, I’m talking about the classic game right down to the historic rosters and playbooks from the good old days of Super Nintendo football.
The only difference is, Tecmo no longer has the NFL license, so in “Throwback,” the Detroit team still has an all-time great at running back, it’s just up to you to go in and edit his name.
I caught up with “Throwback’s” producer, Mike Fahrny, to get all the dirt on the new/old game.

Yaw Obiri-Yeboah the community manager for NCAA basketball 10 just posted this on the EA forums:
Hey guys,
Just letting you all know that the dynamic update that will update the tournament bracket and possible ratings will be available just before the tournament begins. I had answered elsewhere that it will be available today but I was wrong, the update will be available tomorrow just before the tournament begins.
Thanks.

The second patch will be live on Thursday 3-18-10. The fix list is below. Also, this patch was worked after the game had shipped, so we had a chance to address issued reported by consumers. We fixed all we could given the time frame for this patch to go live as soon as possible. While I’m sure it doesn’t cover all issues you are experiencing, we are continuously investigating other problems and we will update everyone once we have more concrete information. Regarding problems with leagues, some of these issues can be fixed server side, while others may require a patch. Again, we will keep the community updated on this situation as best as possible. We thank you for your patience and help identifying these issues.

This week’s Madden Ultimate team deal features the Retro Jersey’s of the 1960’s Green Bay Packers which contains rushing boosts, the early 1990’s Houston Oilers which contains passing boosts, and the 1980’s New York Giants which contains defensive boosts. These cards are extremely rare, so good luck in your pursuit of them this evening.

PastaPadre has just broke the new that the PS3 version of UFC 2010 will have extra content:
UFC Undisputed 2010 will be providing exclusive content in the PS3 version of the game. As of now these extras will not be available for the 360 even via downloadable content, though that could change down the line. The PS3 version will be receiving exclusive fighters as well as exclusive “Ultimate Fights”. Though these additions seem unlikely to change someone’s purchase from one version to the other they are notable enough to mention.
